چکیده

Command and control for AUVs has been an area of active research over the past years. Inspired by the command structure in real ships and submarines, we have developed a command and control system which operates through the interaction of multiple software agents. The software agents take on roles such as Captain, Executive Officer, Navigator, Pilot, etc. to achieve specified missions. The command and control system has been tested in simulation and in field tests on the STARFISH AUV developed at the National University of Singapore.
